Full-day S\u00e3o Jorge Island Trip<\/h2>\n

  • A full-day trip (approximately 9 hours), departing at 9am from Lajes do Pico.<\/li>\n
  • Small groups for a more personal experience.<\/li>\n
  • Lunch included on S\u00e3o Jorge Island.<\/li>\n
  • From 23rd March to 1st November.<\/li>\n
  • Departures normally scheduled on Fridays.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What\u2019s the plan?<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Briefing presenting an overview of the Azorean biodiversity: whales, dolphins, birds, turtles, jellyfish, and more.<\/li>\n
    • Searching for whales and dolphins along the south coast of Pico.<\/li>\n
    • Crossing to S\u00e3o Jorge Island and stop in the village of Calheta for lunch, a short walk, and swimming\/snorkelling.<\/li>\n
    • Land observation along the south coast of S\u00e3o Jorge to Ilh\u00e9u do Topo.<\/li>\n
    • Return to Lajes do Pico around 6pm for a drink and debriefing with your crew.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      What else?<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

      • Free access<\/strong> to Espa\u00e7o Talassa library and entrance to the Whaler\u2019s museum. (ask us how!<\/em>)<\/li>\n
      • Minimum of 10 participants required<\/strong>. If fewer, the minimum charge remains equivalent to 10 participants.<\/strong><\/li>\n
      • The itinerary may change depending on weather, sea conditions, animal presence, or the number and physical condition of participants.<\/li>\n
      • Insurance (general assistance, illness, accident, cost of rescue operations).<\/li>\n
      • Environment taxes and observation permits included.<\/li>\n
      • Waterproof jacket and lifevest included.<\/li>\n
      • Don\u2019t forget your binoculars!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
