  • Road Book with detailed hike and activity descriptions, sent by email (PDF) or post.<\/li>\n
  • All transfers as described in \u201cDay by Day.\u201d<\/li>\n

    Day 1 \u2013 Saturday<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Arrival transfer from Faial or Pico airport.<\/li>\n
    • Welcome drink and briefing on planned activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Day 2 \u2013 Sunday<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Morning whale watching excursion.<\/li>\n
      • Afternoon visit to the Whaler\u2019s Museum in Lajes do Pico.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Day 3 \u2013 Monday<\/strong><\/p>\n

        • Hike on the eastern tip of Pico and visit to Fran\u00e7ois the potter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Day 4 \u2013 Tuesday<\/strong><\/p>\n

          • Hike through UNESCO-listed vineyards and tour of the Wine Museum.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Day 5 \u2013 Wednesday<\/strong><\/p>\n

            • Morning sea excursion; afternoon stroll to the Vigia da Queimada<\/em> lookout.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Day 6 \u2013 Thursday<\/strong><\/p>\n

              • Hike through the Laurisilva (primitive forest) and visit the old whale factory in S\u00e3o Roque.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                Day 7 \u2013 Friday<\/strong><\/p>\n

                • Free day for optional activities:
                  \u2013 Sea Watch<\/em> excursion to S\u00e3o Jorge Island.
                  \u2013 Ascent of Mount Pico (full-day, physically demanding hike).
                  \u2013 Relaxation day or make up for weather-cancelled activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    The itinerary may be modified depending on weather conditions, safety, the number of participants, or the presence of whales.<\/em><\/p>\n
