From the rooftop of the Atlantic (2,351 m), you can see 5 of the 9 islands of the Azorean archipelago.
Departure at 07:00 from the trail starting point (Casa da Montanha).
The full ascent and descent of Portugal’s highest mountain takes around 8 hours.
The price includes the Mountain Tax.
Bring your own picnic, or let us prepare one for you for €10.
This hike is recommended for participants in good physical condition, as the elevation gain is approximately 1,100 meters over a 4 km trail, often on rough volcanic terrain.
If you have any health conditions or have undergone surgery within the past 12 months, please inform us on the booking form — we may be able to adjust the activity to allow your participation.
Please note:
This activity is NOT suitable for people with heart conditions or knee problems, and NOT recommended for anyone who has been diving within 30 hours before the climb.
Available from May 1st to September 30th.
